Tender pulled pork slow-cooked with Tiger Purrr chai, infused with warm, aromatic spices and bold flavour.

Ingredients

1.5ltr water
250g Tiger Purrr Libido Chai
2.5kg pork shoulder  *If needed trim fat off pork shoulder*

Method 

1. In a separate pot on stove top, bring water to a simmer, add chai, steep for 8 minutes and strain.
2. In a separate slow cooker, add pork shoulder and pour in chai cover the pork shoulder.
3. Cook on low for 6-8hrs until meat pulls apart easily with 2 forks
4. Remove pork shoulder from chai. 

To serve 

Optional
Add some Tiger Purrr Chai BBQ Sauce to some brioche buns and top with pulled pork, Add some coleslaw or salad for a fresh and crunchy addition.

Tiger Purrr Chai BBQ Sauce 

Ingredients

1 ½ cups tomato sauce
½ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup Tiger Purrr Libido Chai reduction *see recipe below*
¼ cup brown sugar
⅛ cup Worcestershire sauce
⅛ cup soy sauce
2 tbl dijon mustard
1 tsp minced garlic

Method 

1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat, 
then reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 min (or until thickened), 
2. Stir frequently.
3. Season to taste.

Tiger Purrr Libido Chai Reduction

Ingredients

1.5L water
100g Tiger Purrr Libido Chai

Method 

1. Bring water to a bubble and add chai steeping for 8 minutes 
2. Remove tea leaves
3. Place chai back on the stove over low heat and leave uncovered to simmer until reduced to ¼ the amount, stirring frequently.
